About Ilekun
Opening doors to recognised credentials.
Ilekun is being established to help people overcome financial barriers to recognised technology certifications, beginning with certification exam fees.
The name
Ìlẹ̀kùn
Pronounced ee-leh-koon
Door, in Yoruba.
A door is the simplest picture of access. When it's shut, everything behind it is out of reach; when it opens, the next room becomes possible. That's the idea behind everything Ilekun does.
Why Ilekun exists
A person's ability to grow should not be limited by the cost of demonstrating what they know. For many aspiring technology professionals, certification exam fees can become a significant obstacle.
What we do
Ilekun aims to help eligible applicants cover approved technology certification exam fees, beginning with Salesforce certifications.
By addressing this specific financial barrier, Ilekun hopes to make recognised credentials more accessible to people who need support.
Looking ahead
A recognised certification can be one step in a person's professional journey. Ilekun wants to help people take that step and explore the opportunities that may follow.
Over time, Ilekun hopes to explore additional support, including study groups, learning resources, and connections to professional opportunities.
Who runs Ilekun
Ilekun was founded by Abdullahi Olalekan Abdulkareem with the aim of helping people overcome financial barriers to recognised technology certifications.
The initiative begins with certification exam support and aims to explore additional ways to help people build technology skills and pursue professional opportunities over time.
Where we are now
Ilekun is a nonprofit in formation. Programme availability and support are subject to eligibility requirements and available funding.
Ilekun is independent and not affiliated with Salesforce.
